banking rant
Nov. 20th, 2004 07:36 amSweet chocolate christ, what the hell? I am used to our customers not
being able to do basic math, but it is getting ridiculous.
This is
not at all unusual lately. The customer calls in and has $489 in account.
They made a deposit yesterday of $480 because they are going to have a
check coming through for $486. They hear this balance on the automated
system and call an operator to see if the $486 check came through.
Uh. ..no. Is your balance $3?
They repeatedly ask me if I am
sure that the $486 check has not been paid. And they repeatedly verify
that their balance in $489. Do they think they have an extra $489 in their
account?
Damn I am cranky.
