I didn't die. Cool.
I wanted overtime, but without working too hard, so I picked up a shift working from 10:30 pm Saturday to 7 am Sunday. I figured it couldn't be too busy. Mostly I would be there to help people with online banking and bill pay and closing lost debit cards. It is hilarious trying to verify people on their account at 4 am and they are drunk. *hint* your card is probably at the bar. Go back, sign your tab and pick up your card*
I had forgotten that the website goes down from 2 am to 10 am Sundays. So I was there to surf the net and close cards. I usually take 100-120 calls a day, and on a really busy day, 160. I took 15 . 4 or 5 were hang up calls, and a few were transferred to credit card services. Nice way to earn $$ at time and a half.
Unfortunately, I woke up throwing up yesterday am because of allergies and felt like poo. My head still hurt when I got to work. I spent most of the night on a web site looking at videos of people hurting themselves or doing something either really cool or really stupid.
My friend, Henry, was kind enough to give me a ride home so I didn't have to wait in the freezing cold for the train. I almost fell asleep in his car, but kept being jolted back awake by the realization he didn't know where I lived.
I slept until 1 pm, then got up and headed to Half Price Books. I bought Connor a book on Rocks and Minerals, a guitar book, and a Joyce Carol Oats book for me for one dollar. Nice find. He and I went next door and I got a chai latte for sister and I and Con a green tea to drink while we waited for Fini.
I need to go do laundry and take a long hot shower. Back to work tomorrow.
All in all, not a bad weekend. Uneventful, but productive.
