Connor's class had a very interesting project this week. They have been studying different people in history and presented a living wax museum. Connor was Fredrick Douglas. He had to write a speech about him present it whenever someone pushed his "button" The speech was memorized in Spanish, but he could use notecards to recite it in English if someone requested English. I was worried he wouldn't be able to memorize it all and would freak out when he was supposed to recite his speech, but he did really well. Fini made him a beard from a black foam visor, cut up curly doll hair and pipe cleaners. The first thing out of everyone's mouth when I walked in the classroom, was how great the beard was. Connor looked really good. I took a few pics.
