Andrea was telling me that South Korea has had an unusually incidents of college student protests. Economists were putting in their opinions on how to remedy this problem. Apparently, in South Korea they push their high school students really hard (as they do here as well) and stress them out. The ones that are going on to college find small course loads, affordable pricing, they create their own schedules and have more time for creative thinking and to consider their place in the world and how they can improve it. Economists in South Korea came up with the idea to make the college in the US- Push to complete it as quickly as possible, heavy course load, and highly priced so that many have to have part time (what the fuck? I had full time, 15 sememster hours, and a toddler-no wonder I didn't finish) jobs, so there was time for little else besides school so fewer incidents of protest. Way to squash creativity and to express control or our voices. We are a blueprint for political oppression of speech. Kudos.

and yeah yeah yeah ... I know that tons of people travel here to go to school... I am just sayin'........
