Given the following instructions:

USING WHAT YOU KNOW ABOUT THE SCIENCE BEHIND THE NORTHERN LIGHTS, WRITE YOUR OWN MYTH ABOU THOW AND WHY THEY HAPPEN. A MYTH EXPLAINS NATURAL EVENTS LIKE THE NORTHERN LIGHTS BY USING A STORY RATHER THAN SCIENCE.

This is what Connor came up with:

At the beginning of the world the Gods were almost finished with Earth's creation. Each God was assigned an element and a region. One God wasn't satisfied with his element or region. The Desert God demanded a different assignment, but the other gods refused. The Desert God declared war on his friends. He summoned the animals of the desert and destroyed most of the Gods, except for the Darkness, Light, Energy and the Jewel god. The four remaining pure gods created monsters from their elements. Light and Darkness made Blue Eyes Shining Dragon and Red Eyes Darkness Dragon. These dragons had immense power. Energy and Jewel created Deyoxies, a monster that shot blasts of pure energy from his whip-like hands, and Raycuaza was created from an emerald and could create a vortex to send things to other dimension. These four monsters trapped the Desert God by making cocoons out of their elements. The legend says the two dragons created Night and Day. Deyoxies made the things that we draw energy from, and Raycuaza made the lights of the sky. The story also has it that when a solar eclipse occurs, the dragons mate and give birth to a new sun, and the northern lights are Raycuaza and Deyoxies meeting each other and flowing lights in the sky , in which you can see their mammoth forms.

While the monsters and gods come from the worlds of Pokemon and Yu-gi-oh, the myth is his own creation. Our boy is well on his way to a life of geekdom.

On Saturday evening my boyfriend and I were driving on
Kirby. While stopped at the traffic light on Westheimer, we
kissed, only to be interrupted by someone honking their horn at
us from behind. When we turned around, we saw a guy and his
friend yelling at us. They yelled that we were FAGS and that we
should die and go to hell. They followed us down the road
yelling and harassing us. They made a right on Shepherd but
not before letting us further know their views on homosexuality.

Unfortunately, this kind of thing happens quite often without us
being able to do anything about it. These idiots didn't realize,
however, that they were in a bright yellow hummer that had their
company phone number, 713 TICKETS, in big font . The first
thing we did was call the number to find out who was driving the
car. It turns out the owner and one of his assistants were the
people shouting at us. The receptionists apologized for
his boss' behavior and gave us the boss' name, Kent
Maree. His assistant, who was also shouting obscenities at us,
is Max Velazquez.
A friend of mine, who is black, called Kent this morning to ask if
this is the way he treats all minorities. Kent responded by saying
that it is a free country and he can express his views as he
wishes. He also let my friend know that Fags choose to be fags
and they should burn in hell.

Since this is a free country, I urge you all to please give Kent a
call and let him know your opinion on the way he expresses his
views and his business practices. Pass this on to as many
people as you know so that they too can give Kent and Max a
piece of their mind. Their number is 713TICKETS.
