Not that I think this will make one bit of difference in the long run, but:

Judge rules against DeLay group

A Texas judge has just ruled against Republican Majority Leader Tom DeLay's group Texans for a Republican Majority, saying that it spent illegal corporate money in 2002.

State District Judge Joe Hart ruled Thursday that Texans for a Republican Majority violated state campaign law when it failed to disclose more than a half-million dollars in corporate contributions during the 2002 state legislative elections.

Hart, however, said the plaintiffs could only collect for damages in their campaigns. He awarded $196,660 to the five Democratic candidates who lost in 2002. Included in that total was an $87,332 award to former state Rep. Ann Kitchen of Austin.

Five Democratic candidates sued Bill Ceverha, treasurer for Texans for a Republican Majority. Hart's decision is the first judicial determination in the 2 1/2 year controversy about how the political action committee, created by Republican U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, spent corporate money during the 2002 legislative campaign.

Now, there are shifty politicians in every party, I have even been known to vote against a Democrat I find particualy smarmy. But Satan and his  minions that are covering his ass are really starting to piss me off.

Normally we would have been at my parents house for Fathers' Day, but he is sick. He either has pnumonia or bronchitis (won't know until Monday which it is) but both are contagious, and although we love him, getting sick as well is not an option for any of us. So he is home celebrating Fathers' Day with his kitties, my mother and a series of naps.

We have moved Fathers' Day to next Sunday. Mark your calandars.

I spent a few hours in the pool .Got in my laps. The water was perfect, the sun was perfect, the breeze was delicious. ipod died after about 2 hours. It has been a while since I charged it. I had a lovely nap and my sister made a great dinner. I shall go to bed early and go to work a few hours early. I didn't feel like going in on Saturday.

Bodhi is doing well. He is gaining some weight. He and our home are flea free. Luckily we were diligent enough with the flea comb and the cleaning that we never got a flea problem from ol' dumster kitty.

He chases the other cats around and they chase him. He attacks and they squash him. He is unfazed by the buttkicking he recieves. Tough little guy. They are at times annoyed by him, but seem to enjoy someone to play with. Saffie has a chase partner for her 10 pm freakouts and Lena has someone to hold down and groom.

He is a snuggle kitten. He loves to curl up on my chest or in my neck and sleep. He purrs so loud. Unlike the other cats, he enjoys a good grooming brush session. His fur is starting to get nicer. His eyes may be changing from gray to green. Still very cute cat.

I spent the good part of my day here:

Goodness, I love my pool.

I took some pictures for Fini in the pool. God love her for her faith that I wouldn't spaz out and drown our digital camera in the pool.  Maybe she forgot what a clutz I am. I took some pics of her garden angel.

This is her garden angel with the plant, "Devil's Backbone"
