I really enjoyed my two weeks with Con ( [livejournal.com profile] gerachi ) going to work with me. I wish I had not been so busy that I couldn't spend as much time as I wanted with him during lunch. We enjoyed our commute together and everyone at work told me how well behaved he was. They were really impressed with him. One man even commented how he was impressed with Connor in the restroom. I got a little nervous for a second (especially after two women went on and on about getting "lost in his eyes" but turns out he was impressed by the way he thougholy washed his hands then took a towl, dried his hands, turned off the faucet with the towl, wiped down the splashing on the counter, opened the door with a towl, and threw it away. Who knew Con was so careful about germs?
People would comment about how serious and calm he was. That is funny. I explained he is a total jokester, but he was on his best behavior because he knows better than to act out at mine or my sister's office.
I found a cubicle way out of the way for him, with a computer that was hooked up and he stayed back there with his homework, gameboy, and internet access. He came out for snacks and bathroom breaks. He delivered paper to everyone.
What a sweet kid.
He and I took some pictures. He has posted them on his blog [livejournal.com profile] gerachi. There is even one of him with [livejournal.com profile] cj_hopegiver on the bus ride home.
Tomorrow he starts middle school. He is so not thrilled (but I think he is anxious and excited deep down) but we are. I am so excited for him. I really like his school. His after school program starts in two weeks and he will be taking karate, Science and Robotics, and Guitar. How cool is that?
We finished out the shoe shopping. I bought him two pair of 8 1/2's at the beginning of summer, a pair of 9's two weeks ago, and my mother bought him two pair of 9 1/2s and fini bought him a pair of 9 1/2 yesterday. Apparently Connor decided to do all his growing the last two weeks of vacation. I noticed most of his jeans will be highwater length in about 2 weeks. Good thing they can wear shorts to school.

Pammy

I am loving the Pamela Lee Roast. There are tons of great lines being shot out.
Jeffery Ross is just sick. I actually felt so bad for Courtney Love when he said, "How is it that you look worse than Kurt Cobain?"

Sarah Silverman is my hero. She will say anything.
Courtney Love was surprisingly funny. There was a little moment when it was alluded to that she had slept with Tommy Lee. He was denying it so hard and Pam was pointing at him like, "Yuh huh..."
My sister said, "Those are a set of sheets that would have burned themselves afterward"
Fini should look into joining the roasting circuit.
