Matthew Shepard Act Passed in Senate

While we still have a long way to go as a country, a big victorious step was taken yesterday when the Matthew Shephard Act was passed in the Senate. However, it still has to go before both the House and Senate, for final negotiations- and even more, it has to be approved by President Bush who has threatened to veto it.
