Con's Bday, Valentines Day, Austin
Feb. 15th, 2009 04:27 pmSaturday, Karen, Connor and I drove to Austin to visit Dave and walk around the UT campus. We had a lunch at Mamma Mam's and went walking and shopping. Photos are clickable to embiggen :)
David forced Con to take the affection.

David and Connor...um... dancing? ... by the Scientology Center while Kare and I photograph the following

Group of protesters in front of the Scientology Center. They tried to hand me pamphlets and told me Scientology was a cult. I said, "No thanks," and informed them they were preaching to the choir.

I enjoyed the murals around Austin. Here are a few of them.
We went to Quackenbush to have a coffee and treat and let Karen visit memory lane. Con bought a lovely iced valentine cookie to give to this girl he digs. The drive home was hard. we were both tired. I was less tired, so I drove. I slept beautifully. I am glad we did a log of walking (even though I had girlie issues and my back was killing me) and the weather was great for it. Con liked the campus and it did have the effect we wanted: to make Connor more excited about College.
