I was watching tv last night instead of going to bed. Just about the

time I thought I had enough and wanted to head to bed, I came across

Jeepers Creepers on cable.

I had seen commercials for it when it came out and thought it was going to be crap. I love (love love love)

horror, scary, and thriller movies. I like when they are creepy, make

me tense up and stay that way for the next 90 minutes. If my heart can

skip a beat or two, that is all the better. When the Creeper drove up

on the brother and sister in their car that piqued my interest- decent

level of creepy. When they drove past the guy and the sewage pipe, and

saw what he was doing...and he saw them... oh, that was a deliciously high level of creepy.

It was really late and I tried to stay up and finish it, but Con was

trying to watch it and I could barely keep my eyes open. Tonight there

was nothing on tv. I assume there was some sort of sport thing

(football?) and I wanted no part of that. I went and rented Jeepers

Creepers and had my sister watch it with me.

Gina Philips and Justin Long both gave really good performances,

certainly better than I would expect from a horror movie. The psychic

having to come in and provide the background info was a bit awkward.

The Creeper was much scarier when he was barely able to been seen than

when they gave the close ups of him toward the end.

The ending was not what I wanted or what I expected, and for that

reason, it was a very good ending. It was certainly not the usual

horror movie cliche ending.

I like it when the "hero" ends up dead at the end, too!

man, I hated that movie. I mean, overall, it was pretty good, but the kids would just sit there and scream for like 5 minutes instead of getting the heck out of there. Personally, I'd be like "oh shit! Monster!!" then you'd see a dust cloud outline of me where I used to be.

that bothers everyone about all horror movies though, the part when the dumbass goes back into the house, the fact that noone runs fast enough. If they did what we want there would be no horror movie.
