Rain?!?! *twitch twitch*
Jun. 19th, 2006 01:46 pmPeople in Houston are retarded. Not all, but a good many of them (hence the election results in 2004). It is flooding in many parts of Houston. When people wake up in the morning and every local channel on TV and every radio station is telling them it is flooded where they live or have to drive, one would think they would keep their asses home. I watched TV for 40 min before deciding it was safe to go to work.
We have tons of people that see water covered streets and no one driving on them and think, "I bet I can make it in my small pick up truck or Ford Taurus" and then they have to swim home.

In Houston, a YMCA building was surrounded by water and people were standing on the roof Monday morning as water in the parking lot inched up on the vehicles' doors. Emergency crews answered about 500 calls for help, mostly from stranded motorists, White said.
My sister was watching these people on TV waving their shirts from the roof top and 4th floor balconey like they were calling the helecopters down for a New Orleans style rescue. The water was just up over the bottom of the car doors. There was maybe a foot of water. They could have waded to their cars. Was probably Katrina evacuees and they are panicking.
