I have been listening to Air America at work. I swear sometimes it is just as obnoxious and ridiculous as conservative talk radio. Jerry Springer is especially. I don't know what I hate more, the shrill speak/yelling that they both do or the speaking in hyperbole. Randi Rhodes is ok, but she occasionally goes the way of Springer and Savage. I like that she was in the military and supports our soldiers without crawling up Bush's ass to kiss the deepest parts like a great deal of the conservatives.

You know what I like?  I like NPR. I like actual news, not opinions. I like human interest stories. You never hear anything like that on conservative radio because they would have to give a shit about someone besides themselves or "Murka" and I haven't listened to Air America enough to catch any of that if it exists. I like that  no one NPR is shouting and whining and speaking in hyperbole.

Maybe I am more middle of the road than I thought. Maybe I just abhor drama and stress so much that I avoid it at any cost.

can you get BBC radio, maybe on internet feed. Its what I listen to on the ship on single side band. Overall the programming is just as good as NPR but with a focus on the world issues

I'm an NPR fan. I rarely catch Air America anymore, so I don't even know what's going on with them half the time.

good for you. that's why i listen to neither. they are ironically both the same liberals and conservatives. both sides are just about telling you either what you shoudl do with your money or what you should do in your house or bedroom. they're really no different if you boil it down. towards the middle is where people get different, trying to balance freedom with security.
