I need to buy a flat panel monitor for our 2nd computer. Would like it to not be a piece of poop.

Ok, I just talked to Dan. He has two 17" flat panel monitors: The first one has 1 dead pixel, and if you want it, you can have it free. Other than the deal pixel, there is nothing wrong with it. The second monitor is a few years old, but in good condition, so you can have it for $30.

Funny you should ask because I just bought mine from craigslist from a guy. 21 inch dell flat screen for $200.

check craigslist for your area in the http://detroit.craigslist.org/sys/

edit for location of course. just make sure to bring a laptop along to test it out. and understand that the buyer beware.
