sereneorangeI am on the bus on my way to work this AM. This homeless looking man is walking down the isle. He stops by me and says, "Hi." I give him a hello back. He starts patting me on the shoulder and then the patting goes closer and closer to my neck where he is looking at it and decided he would like to grab it, and grabs my throat. I throw his arm back and yell, "What the fuck is wrong with you?!" He goes to the front of the bus and sits down where the bus driver says something to him about respect and gets him off at the next stop.
When I get to work I call the police to let them know what happened and where he got off, so that they might want to talk to him since he has an obvious impulse control problem and was headed toward a grocery store when he got off.I don't want him in trouble, though I understand that is what will happen by filing a report. Everyone was asking, "why didn't you mace him? Why did you say hi to him?"
He didn't hurt me. I wasn't even scared. He was obviously mentally ill or mentally retarded and didn't seem malicious. He just had an impulse and acted on it.
I don't want to be the type of person that just looks past people that are homeless or mentally deficiant as if they don't exist. I would rather have some ass grab me than be that person.
HPD acted so put out that I called them to make a report. They were really not into taking the report. Cute. I hope they remember how much trouble it was when this man grabs some child because he cannot stop himself. What a bunch of ass faces
