Birthday

Connor gave me a nice giant starbucks coffee mug and a hug for my birthday this morning. Great way to start a day! 

I forgot again that it was my birthday.

Which is odd, because when I got home last night, Lu, goodnightnowgo, had sent me a birthday gift in the mail. It had a sweet card attached and the gift was the DVD Purple Rain. I laughed. When she and I were about 14 we wanted to see Purple Rain. My mother wouldn't let me because it was rated R. Luellen and I said we were going to see another movie, then snuck into Purple Rain. One of us had already seen the movie we told my mother we were going to see and shared the details so we could answer my mother's questions about it.  I am pretty sure mom knew, because she grilled me about the movie we said we saw. 

Then I paid closer attention to the DVD Box. It is the special 20th Anniversary Edition. 20 years?!?! Holy crap. How did that happen? I fell out laughing. A fit of giggles. 20 years. HA!  Lu and I met when I was 11 years old. So I have been friends with her for a little over 25 years. Holy POO!

When did I turn so old? 

I guess today. 

Ah! But Lu will always be older!
