Porky McLardass is doing well. He is gaining a bit of weight. We were lucky enough to have a friend who is friends with a good vet that works at Banfield. He has significantly reduced the price and is going to do the treatment for Porky. He gets his first treatment Wednesday. The price is still a hardship on us, but I guess we will find a way. There is no way someone is adopting this dog while it is still sick, and he is just the sweetest thing who has obviously had a hard life and he deserves a chance.

The cats are NOT thrilled with his presence. He will be spending quite a bit of time in the crate Karen borrowed from her coworker soon. After the first treatment, he has to be calm, not excited, and fairly still for 60 days. He cannot do that while getting his freakout on every time he spots a cat. He is really good. There are two big dogs in the yard behind us. They come out and bark at him and when Porky barked back and ran at first, he was very obedient when I told him to shush and sit down. Now he doesn't even bark at them anymore. He comes over to me and sits down.

Con gave him another bath last night and he smells fresh as a daisy. His coat is so pretty and shiny.

He has separation anxiety and whines whenever one of us leaves the house. He is learning to sit and lay down. He hates the crate. He LOVES cheese and spinach tortellini. I normally wouldn't feed him people food, but jeebus he is so damn skinny and it is nice to see him eating something. He is eating dog food more and more.
