Selling Con's bed

I just made my first Craigslist.com ad to get rid of Connor's bedroom set. It is too damn big for his room. It is not practical for a 15 year old who is 5'10 1/2", and he is ready for something much more grown up.

I cannot wait until it is gone. I look forward to helping him decorate his room to match his age and interests

We actually stopped by a goodwill after lunch yesterday. He got 2 pairs of jeans, 2 kakhis for school a badass pair of brown levi cords and some great shirts and a pair of jammie pants.

I love that he doesn't care if they are second hand as long as he looks cool in them

That's cool. We went to Kohls. They were having a sale. My daughter is like that. We've never done 2nd hand stores before though. Maybe we'll give it a try. =)

a few months ago, Connor wanted a trench coat. We went to Salvation Army and picked up a frickin BURBERRY for $26.00

That's very exciting, and, I'm sure, exciting for him.

One of the truly bright spots growing up was when my parents decided to redecorate my bedroom so it wasn't a "little girl" room anymore and actually let me pick out what I want, for the most part.

he wants a boydeboy bed set. he will hang up his framed Korn poster and knowing him slipknot stuff and anime stuff. He had planned on a jungle theme when we bought the house, but it has been 2 years and he probably wants anime stuff. I wonder if they make those big old wall stick up things in anime characters?

Oh yes..you mean like those "Big Head" sports stick ups, only anime. I don't know that I've seen those. You might be able to frame some anime prints. Does he draw them, too? Our room change overs tended to coincide with house moves. First the stripping of everything "beige box" to sell, then re-inventing in the new room in the new house.

fathead. yeah. I found a site where you can do ANY picture you want and it is like 1/3 of the price of fathead.com

He does GREAT drawings. I would love to put some of his artwork up. We buy him sketchbooks and the little brat keeps bringing me these amazing drawings on lined notebook paper. Makes me want to smack him.

I only have his stuff scanned from when he was about 8 years old and was drawing sonic the hedgehog. lol

oooh now that's pretty cool--that you can make your own fathead. Maybe you could "commission" some pieces on the nice sketchbook from Mr. Artist there. Poster frames are really cheap. He could even do colors that he wants in the room that way.

You should post some of his work, if he'll let you. :-)
