The trustee says No Securities Were Bought for Customers for 13 Years. Investors Unlike to see More than $500,000 Each.

How do people get to this point? What happens when they are growing up to lead them to do such greedy and disgusting things? I am amazed and horrified.

Here is a 90 year old man forced back to work when his entire $700 retirement was gone because of Madoff's Ponzi scheme.  Part of me wants Madoff to be released to the public and let them beat him and rip him apart and tear the flesh from him until there is nothing left. Sick sad sonuvabitch.

The worst part about it in my opinion is that Henry Markopolis had been trying to get the SEC to stop Madoff for almost 10 years and they never listened to him.

What's amazing for me is how he could have gotten away with it for so long. He was investigated several times by the SEC, but I have to think that someone was covering for him.

It's not about his childhood - people react to money lik a drug. They just do everything in their power to get more and more and more. It's an addiction, in my opinion. He's a sick man - and how it was okay for him to ship millions of dollars in jewelry overseas is BEYOND me. He should have NOTHING.

But it is only a few people that react this way. There are wealthy people that act perfectly sensible about money.

Or do you mean how most people can drink alcohol normally and a select few turn into alcoholics?

That's exactly what I mean. They take what others can normally handle to the complete extreme.
