US-CERT on Wednesday warned of a fresh hole in Internet Explorer that could allow attackers to take control of a PC via an HTML e-mail message or a malicious Web page. The flaw is all the more serious because exploit code has been published on public mailing lists, according to security researchers.he flaw, a heap buffer overflow, is in the way IE handles two attributes of the "frame" and "iframe" HTML elements. An exploit currently circulating uses overly long SRC and NAME attributes to cause IE to execute an attacker's shell code, according to US-CERT.

Im pretty sure that if firefox has a bigger share of the market then virus writer would concentrate more on that.... At the moment there to busy discouraging Microsoft than to bother with anyone else...

It is true though... Firefox rocks..... FOR NOW.

I'm using Firefox as we speak.. I ran spyware protection earlier (on a whim) and found a keystroke logger on my computer.. Lovely.

So, I ran software restore, installed Zone Alarm Pro again, downloaded Firefox, changed all my passwords, and the rest is history..

Thank God I didn't do any online transactions the last couple of days..

there is a new phishing scam that is only targeting brazilian banks right now, but I am sure will be headed here soon where you dont even have to click on the link for it to happen, as soon as you open your email, it startes installing something to log your keystrokes or to change your bookmarks to direct you to the fact bank web sites instead of the real ones. creepy. I am working on filters so I can get my bank alerts and not mistake a fake one for one I have signed up for.
