I have heard Scissor Sisters, named after a lesbian sex act, before and was digging on them in a big way, but I saw them perform on SNL and decided it is love. Anyone who can disco up Comfortably Numb is gold. And they they are 20 lbs of personality in a 5 lb sack. From every pore they ooze personality.  It is not just the front two. Each and everyone of this menagerie of 5 is absolutely eat up with personality. I saw Modest Mouse on SNL 2 weeks ago and although I really like them, could not have been more dissapointed with their performance and sound. The front man, Jake Shears,  is all glam hotness. He is a delicious combination of Prince's and Jim Morrison's self absorbed sexiness with the rooster strutting dance moves of Mick Jagger. He is a falsetto glam queen. Ana Matronic is a self described "drag queen in a woman's body". That sounds right. My sister said she reminded her of Wynona Judd, and I have for years suspected Wynona is a drag queen.  She is a big old glamor lumberjack and as she shimmied and postured all over the stage I would have screamed , "go big girl, go!" had I not been so damn tired.  I am headed out to get the album after xmas

the only way I'm able to see anything other than a picture in your format is if I highlight the area and copy it onto notepad. In my friends format, I see a teeny-tiny pseudo-paragraph of sentence snips to the right of the picture.

WHAT???
"DISCOFIED Confortably Numb"???
Next you'll say you liked that R&B chick one pace version of Bohiemian which makes $3 bills look straight.
Personally I don't care what people sing.
Just don't go messing with the GOOD STUFF..
but your right about the lady in that group, she is cute...
but she's not Stevie ;)

c'mon.. open your mind. I am a big pink floyd fan too. It is really nothing like the origional. my sister figured out what the song was, I knew I heard it before, but couldn';t understand jake's falsetto..

there's open and then there's got to be a point where WTF kicks in.
common I have an open mind, but the two mediums in play there aren't that compatable.
Disco is fun, light hearted dancing music
Pink Floyd isn't any of that.. it's dark, depressing and moody.. it's music to listen to if you are down.

it isn't exactly disco.. it is dance. which kinda is disco.. nevermind..
I have heard music that crosses stlyes before. If done well, it is damn good shit.

of course there is examples of that gone wrong.
like said version of "Bohieman", and I still think a dance version of "Numb" is wrong.
I can't think of anything by Floyd that could be cross generated to dance..
