My sister had the immense fun of
introducing David,
the worlds coolest teen, to vinyl records the other night. We actually
have 2 record players in my house and at least 150 records (I think that
is a low estimate). I would blog it, but I wasn't there, and Fini did a great job. Go check it out and let the

Date: 2005-01-29 05:36 pm (UTC)I actually owned some of those "ancient" 78s when I was a wee child. They were Sesame Street records, and included the classic "I Love Trash" by Oscar the Grouch! My extensive collection of LPs and singles went the way of Ebay a few years ago though...

Date: 2005-01-29 07:01 pm (UTC)I remember back when I was in college, enrolled in the radio/tv production program, about learning exactly how far to turn a record when you are cue it up to play after the song you have one is done.
By the way, a HUGE pet peeve of mine is when I hear a real bad segue on a radio station. Just call me a segue snob! lol
