Whites only...sheesh

I was looking at the declaration on a subdivision plat earlier today and saw:   

 "10. No race or nationality other than Caucasians shall     use or occupy any building or lot except that this covenant shall not prevent occupancy by domestic servants of a different race or nationality emplyed by an owner or tenant."

Signed by several people but one is Roy Hofheinz, County Judge.

This neighborhood was platted in 1938.

I look at maps all day. This is the first one where I noticed that statement in the declaration, though I know it is far from the only one having it.
