What the hell is wrong with folks?

My friend Rachelle and I went out tonight. Everything was cool. We went to a warehouse party and then left at 1 something. Being hungry, we went to a taqueria somewhere near my house. Unfortunately, it was right across the street from Carrington's Sports bar ( a very hip-hop joint). We left when we noticed the club parking lot seemed to have relocated to the parking lot of the taqueria . We walked to the car and the parking lot was full of cars bumping bass.
She asked someone to move their truck so we could pull out. He told her he wasn;t driving and continued his conversation. Fucker! You know who is driving the damn truck! Take yo asses home. It is 2:30 . If you haven't found someone to hook up with yet, it is just not going to happen for you tonight. If you were going to get some you would be on your way to the room or the casa. Give it up. Take care of it yourself and get a good nights sleep.
We sat there for 20 minutes before I picked up my cell, called info and asked to be connected to the police dept in my area. I told them there were a bunch of people congregating in the parking lot and noone could leave, gave the address, and assumed it would be 30 minutes till anyone showed up. Nuh uh .
HPD showed up and people started fleeing . hrm...doing something wrong? When we were pulling out, Rachelle had to honk at some jackass "swanging and banging" because he almost ran into her car. As he was pulling up on the freeway and we were driving down the feeder, we heard gunshots and slid down in the seat and she hit the gas. I have no idea if they were shooting in our direction or not.
I made a note to self to stay the hell away from the friggin taqueria outside of the stupid ghetto ass sportsbar that time of night, since folks act stupid. I hope he shoots himself in the damn foot.

Yikes! Scary! It reminded me of a night YEARS & YEARS ago when I was around 18 or 19. My best friend and I were down at Beale Street in Memphis and we were in my MG convertible driving around with the top down looking for a parking spot. We made the block in the wrong direction and ended up on this street where it was just nothing but thugs and gangstas standing around like it was a street party. They were all drinking and you could smell the weed. I think the weed saved us because maybe they were too mellow to fuck with us too much. There were cars cruising slowly so we couldn't do anything but get in the cruising line and move about 4mph down this street praying to the almighty God not to let us die that night. IMMEDIATELY when they saw the "two white chicks" they all decended. There was a ring of guys around my car 5 guys deep and they were all yelling "hey, snowflake" and touching us and touching our hair and sitting on the hood and trunk of the car. They kept telling us to get out of the car and I just kept my foot on the gas and inching forward. It took us almost 10 minutes to get the 100 feet to the intersection where traffic could move and I hit the gas so hard on that turn that I think I made the turn on 2 wheels!

had something similar happen here with my sister. We were driving to University of Houston and we turned down a street and were in drug central. my sister had to turn her boat of a car around in a dead end while people were throwing shit at our car and yelling at us

it wasn't really a bad part of town. I live by where homes are 1/2 to 2 million and this was about 3-5 min away

that means nothing in a city with no zoning laws. You can easily get from a "good" part of town to a "bad" one in 5 minutes.
