*Verizon Wireless* customers can now aid Hurricane Katrina relief efforts by
donating money to the American Red Cross with a text message to "2HELP." To
participate, customers can send a message to the address 2HELP or 24357
using the key word "help." They will receive a reply message asking them to
confirm a donation to the American Red Cross of $5.00. To do so, customers
will press "Y" on their keypad, and send that message. Customers wishing to
donate more than once can send up to four additional text messages to 2HELP,
for a total contribution of $25.00.

I don't suppose that if I sent you something that either you or Robb could drop it by the Astrodome?

?

Whatever I got would be light/easy to ship, I hope.

Okay god, what I'm goign to do is BUY this auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/168-PAIR-OF-CHILDRENS-COLOR-SOCKS_W0QQitemZ5420322492QQcategoryZ45057QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

and have it shipped to you. Gimme your address again (I have it somewhere in the bowels of the PayPal from last year's hat order, but time is of the essense) via gmail right now and I'll attach a note to the seller askign them to please fuckign expedite the shipment to you as it's going to the Astrodome.

I know it's not much, but as you know, I don't have much money...I might just post my method and idea to the houston community and elsewhere, in case anyone else wants to volunteer as "drop offs/shipping addresses".

well, if there is need, then there is need, and I can't afford 700 bucks worth of bulk Izod polos XD! I WILl though post my method/strategy around, maybe others can do the same (there is another BIN auction for kids' socks that are white but they'e lesspairs (140? still...that's a lot) and it's the same price but sizes 2 to 4 only, whereas this auction was baby sizes plud toddler.

There is an auction on there for board shorts for young boys (like Con's size) and it's 8.00? for ten pairs but shipping brings it to total 16. If someone else can do that it'd be great. I'll post links too.

what a good egg you are.

I plan on going home and pulling out everything I haven't worn in the past 7-8 months and donating it. Con has a gazillion pairs of jeans and shorts he cannot fit into. We usually take them to his cousin in AR who is smaller, but this is better use.
