I have said it before and I will say it again. Barbara Bush is a c**t.

Clicky for audio link: ""And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway so this [chuckles] --this is working very well for them.".

"What I'm hearing, which is sort of scary, is they all want to stay in Texas. Everyone is so overwhelmed by the hospitality" Barbara Bush

Damnit, Babs. Shut your hole. You are making the rest of us look bad.

She is a cuntrag, and i'm gonna work on reading the link/listening to that crap, but this first comment there:

I am stunned by an interview I conducted with New Orleans Detective Lawrence Dupree. He told me they were trying to rescue people with a helicopter and the people were so poor they were afraid it would cost too much to get a ride and they had no money for a "ticket." Dupree was shaken telling us the story. He just couldn't believe these people were afraid they'd be charged for a rescue.

I can understand that. Because the last time I'd called an ambulance in San Francisco (actually I think Dani called, and it was because i could not breathe), they tried to bill me $2,000 for the ride. They kept billing until it was sent to collections and then after that, I dunno what happened to it. I probably have bad credit.

So yeah, that's totally understandable, why they'd be afraid to get rescued...when in every day life, med people and gov. charge a shitload to help anyway. :\

This is amazing. As someone else said, the woman has been in politics her whole life and she couldn't manage the fake caring speech? Instead she loses her shit because nasty poor brown people have invaded her precious Texas?

She is so amazingly scary. I like how even Nixon said about her, "That woman knows how to hate."

So she hasn't yet mastered the compassion thing. At least she gets points for using underprivileged in its proper context, that of referring to the impoverished and oppressed without instilling guilt among the rich.

That's right. Why worry about current events when you can just watch American Idol instead?

Thanks, but I don't watch such shows. My point was that getting huffy about something that woman says will gain you nothing but frustration. Feel free to mind your business now :)

You dish them out well enough, though, don't you?

Still, in the interest of being undersnide, I'll strike "American Idol" from my statement: Why worry about current events when you can just [insert appropriate head in the sand reference here] instead?

I haven't dished anything out; I'm refraining from giving you a proper fuck-off since you're a friend of Marilyn's. Also, your head in the sand comment is rather inaccurate since bitching about something that the ex first lady of over a decade ago said should hardly fals under the topic of current events. Why put give her thoughts any more consideration than say, for example, yours?

it wasn't. I was letting her know that she hhas a choice of not listening to what some 100 year old hag has to say.

Honestly, if you're so concerned with current events rather than American Idol, you should maybe try voicing your own thoughts and ideas instead of channeling your inner 13 year old valley girl and saying the equivalent of "omigaw! did you like hear what she just said?! I can't believe it! it's like, so heinous!!" Surely you're capable of more than just pointing the finger at others' shortcomings?

I honestly didn't think many people put much weight in anything she said. She's, what, 80 years old? The woman's probably going senile if she isn't already. I doubt many people care what others think when they get to be that age.

My grandmother was sharp and brilliant into her 90's. I won't be. Dementia runs in my family I beleive. I had read in a conservative blog that Some say Dubya used to be much more articulate when he was gov. and are speculating that he is showing early signes of senility.
Could be complete crap though...

not everyone's the same though. I think the woman's just old and doesn't really care what others think anymore. I'm basing this on the fact that I don't recall her being quite so... blunt? 15 years ago.

when i worked at barnes and noble near the galleria i would hear stories from my co-workers who had been there a long time talk about when she would come into the store (cause she lived close to there or something).
they said she was a meanie. (in more colorful words though)
