Our cats spent the morning beating the living crap out of each other. That is unusual. The play often, but usually snuggle a lot. Saffie kept biting Bodhi on the nuts. That really seemed to piss him off. Now they are exhausted and sacked out. I am interested in how they will react when the winds really start kicking up.

I am filling up and enjoying coffee while I still have the ability to make some. I should be beautifully wired and on edge when the hurricane comes. That is what everyone really needs, I am sure.
 
I just saw the weather channel and it says, I shit you not, 8 PM tonigh "A rumble of thunder and possibly rain" lol. That is more optimistic than I was being. It also said that Sunday should be windy.


I keep going outside to take pics. We went out side to throw out the garbage that we have. This is what we found:





Security dumpster. For some reason, there is a lock on the dumpster. I would assume that it is so the dumpster doesn't come rolling out, but the thing already had a turn lock on it. Quite frankly, the wind could be strong enough and just pop the little nails off the hinge. Currently, my stinky cat litter trash is in the laundry room trash can.



Someone couldn't get in, so they threw their trash on top. When the wind picks up, this should be pelting my windows



I found higher ground for my sister's car if it starts to flood. Right now we have it parked in front of the apts, where there is a little protection from flying debris.

what can ya say to somebody who's facing this thing??
never been in anything like that weather...if i ever lived in hurricane country, I think I'd have to move after the first time one came through my town.

turning out pretty good for me so far. windy, very little rain. Have set a potted plant up twice.

Well you've still got power! That's a good sign! I think this thing is heading more towards the eastern TX, western LA coastal area. You may dodge the bullet. The fact that it's about to come ashore & you still have power is a good sign. Just stay safe amiga!!

Oh and if you want to watch a good radar of the storm, this is your area. The arrows are actual individual storms and it points to which direction they're heading. Each storm is given an identity like "G6" or "Q4" and it tells you if the storm has hail or is possibly tornadic. Check it out:
