nice glasses -- my girly had to spend $200 on ONE pair because of an allergy to the normal frames, had to get the titanium or whatever

me, i would just live with an itchy face :)

lol. I have spent quite a bit on glasses before, but see no reason to. I usually get a pair that looks like the metal ones, and now I got to buy a funky pair, too.

fyi, Zennioptical has titanium http://zennioptical.com/cart/search.php?mode=search

really is.

I was prepared to not like them, but figured, "I have $30 to gamble and find out" I heard about zennioptical last year from [livejournal.com profile] lil_ms_drama and then [livejournal.com profile] denimdoll bought hers and liked them.

They have lots of styles and all the prices rock pretty hard.

make sure doc measures the PD (pupilary distance) Mine didn't put that on there, assuming I was getting them there and they would check it when they ordered the glasses. the usual distance is 62 mm. My sister measured mine and that is what they were.

nope. No vision insurance at all. I went to zennioptical.com. Go there and check the prices. Anywhere from 8.00 to 29.99 I think.

I'm still thinking about a 2nd pair and would be from there. I think i can get a pair there for near 100.00, vs the 520.00 i just paid on sale for my new ones that came in 2 days ago.....yuck.

you must have one helluva prescription buddy. WOW.. quad focals or something?

nope, just no line bi's (progressive). Lenscrafters had a sale, if you bought a complete pair, you got the lenses at half off. Glasses 219.00
lenses 600.00/2 = 300.00

sucks, and EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to get used to.
but i think i'll just get a pair with my new prescription WITHOUT the bi part for a backup or when these kill my eyes i can still have the normal script.

wearing those now. Don't think my mom and sister care for them, but everyone else has commented on how much they love the red and black pair
