Con is driving me nuts- Part deux
Dec. 16th, 2007 08:09 pmAll day Saturday, Con was a bone head. I posted about said bone headedness. When I got him up out of bed to clean up the study, because he had not properly done it, I was cleaning up the kitchen. I noticed there was a significant amount of tea missing. He has been told not to drink it at night (it has caffeine and I like it like that.) I questioned him about it and he said, "I don't know why." He had been giving this answer all day. I am not sure why I kept asking.
I go in to check and see if he was almost done and he was walking across the coffee table. WALKING ACROSS THE COFFEE TABLE. The child weighs 132 lbs. I had seen him sitting on it earlier and told him not to. So of course it is completely appropriate to walk on it.
I asked why he did that after I had told him to not even sit on it. He said, "I don't know why." lol. Of course. I am a fool for asking. In all fairness to him, I was just wasting both of our time as there is not an answer he could have given that would have sufficed. So I told him he is grounded from the study. The boy is running out of rooms he is allowed in.
The problem is, until Karen and I finish the chandelier, there is no light in the dining room. So he needs to sit in the study to do his homework. So he is just grounded from the furniture. And he isn't allowed to drag blankets and all his stuff in there like he has been. Will give him less to clean up before bedtime, I guess.
Let's hope this week goes better. I am to the point of just laughing and shaking my head.
