It is my hope that his performance in "The Dark Knight" is such that he will replace Jack Nicholson as "The Joker" in the mass consciousness. This would be a fitting tribute.
BUT...I'm leaning towards the idea that maybe he was just a depressed person in general. Every interview I ever saw of him he muttered through and barely showed any interest in being "there". Check out this quote from the NYT:

The day I say, ‘It’s good’ is the day I should start doing something else,” said in the interview.
Maybe it was just hard for him to find happiness (I know how that feels)...still. What I wouldn't give to be in his shoes (pre-death, that is, ugh).

I'm wondering if it was a suicide or an accident. He was waiting for a massage, so maybe he took some pills trying to relax for it and fucked up? I hope it wasn't a suicide. I'd be so disappointed.
I am hoping not deliberate, but shit. What the hell is wrong with taking THE PRESCRIBED dosage? If people stopped popping pills like they were tic tacs, this crap wouldn't happen
Yeah, I'm disappointed enough. But I have a strict personal policy about suicides once a child comes into the picture. So I'm really crossing my fingers that one of my favorite young actors did not do that.
