No... I am not anti-Obama. I voted for Clinton in the primary.I will probably vote for Obama if he is the Dem pick, but I think Hillary is a better choice.
this is another reason I don't like any of the candidates.
hilary uses the 'im a woman' thing obama uses the 'im a black man' thing mccain users the 'i was a POW' thing
but none of them address any important issues.
Women's rights have been taken care of. Women have the same potential as men in terms of earning power and their opinions are valued equal to that of men.
Black's rights have been taken care of. Racism is a thing of the past (for the large part). If you want to tackle 'race issues' then you should take on the issue of hispanic people calling themselves 'THE race' (la raza) or people like louis farakhan and quannel X who call people 'white devils'. But just like the white supremacists out there, these people are the voice of the few, not the many. America is a great place to be and race relations have never been better.
Being a veteran doesn't mean you are an expert on foreign policy and it certainly isnt as important as helping the internal affairs of the country. Also having the signs of early stages of alzheimers and taking midday naps will probably interfere with being THE FUCKING PRESIDENT
If they would go on TV shows and have debates where the questions aren't screened and people got to ask their opinion on specific topics, I would say they address other issues. But they do not. The media only asks the 'safe' questions and even then the candidates make some stupid joke and chuckle and beat around the bush. I haven't heard them COMMIT to anything relevant, and I watch a lot of political shows and read the news and whatnot, so I like to think I am pretty informed about not being informed about what the candidates stance is on ANYTHING. You can have two people with opposing views ask the same question and get different answers from the same candidate, sometimes even in the same debate/interview.
I have a right to be disenfranchised :)
I guess I didn't really clarify on my previous post, but people of different races/genders have the OPPORTUNITY to have equal earning power and equal status in the current America, what they do with it is the problem sometimes.
