No Country for Old Men
Apr. 1st, 2008 10:49 pmI finally saw No Country for Old Men tonight. I need to read the book now. Right now. Right this second. Borders closed hours ago, so it will have to wait.
It was beautiful, tense, and brilliant. I cannot fathom how they could have done anything to make it better. I don't really want to say more about it. I would hate to give anything away for someone that hasn't seen it yet.
Since I am not going to write more about what a masterpiece it is, I will instead share with you a realization I had.
My beautiful beautiful Javier Bardem
Who was uglied up for his part as Chigurh
looks hauntingly like several characters from Scooby Doo in this movie. The Chigurh character is much more terrifying, though.
The only image I could find quickly was The Creeper

But there were a lot of henchmen that looked like like Chigurh.

BUT we just saw him in Goya's Ghosts, if you like him. You might like that one.

Date: 2008-04-02 02:58 pm (UTC)That would be Dale Ernheart.. a racer that died when his car hit a wall..
so I am saying even with Chigurh's bowl cut and horrid pallor, I'd hit that .
