I finally saw No Country for Old Men tonight. I need to read the book now. Right now. Right this second. Borders closed hours ago, so it will have to wait.

It was beautiful, tense, and brilliant. I cannot fathom how they could have done anything to make it better. I don't really want to say more about it. I would hate to give anything away for someone that hasn't seen it yet.

Since I am not going to write more about what a masterpiece it is, I will instead share with you a realization I had.

My beautiful beautiful Javier Bardem

Who was uglied up for his part as Chigurh

looks hauntingly like several characters from Scooby Doo in this movie. The Chigurh character is much more terrifying, though.

The only image I could find quickly was The Creeper

But there were a lot of henchmen that looked like like Chigurh.

I don't think he's that great lookin'. Not my type.

BUT we just saw him in Goya's Ghosts, if you like him. You might like that one.

You love it. Reminds you of a certain someone, it should.

Best film made in the past five years. I heart it (and javier bardem) so fucking much.

God that man is so hot. Even with the gross bowl cut, he's beautiful.

right.. that pallor they gave him though. *shudders* he has a serious evil uggo mask on when he was standing outside about to put that bolt gun to that man's head

excellent! Although I did not immediately take anything from the film, I still think about it.

lol.. I love that icon.

That would be Dale Ernheart.. a racer that died when his car hit a wall..

so I am saying even with Chigurh's bowl cut and horrid pallor, I'd hit that .

The book is superb, read it in one day, although the ending was a huge let down (and I heard the movie is pretty faithful to it). I still want to see the movie, just going to wait until I "find" a copy. :P

I loved the ending. I thought it was just about the only way it could end.

I had no idea that it was a book first. I just looked it up and found that it's by Cormac McCarthy who wrote The Road which was an amazing book.

I'm definitely putting No Country for Old Men on my book list now.
