I LOVE my new dentist. I have been twice, Connor has been once. They rock. I don't go as often as I should (including being neglectful and Con not going as often as he should) because it is so inconvienent. The dentist office on the first floor of my building switched owners and the new one's take my insurance (which rocks- should for what I pay for it). After my boss and a coworker that HATES any doctor or dentist both went and had teeth pulled but STILL raved about how great they are, I made appointments for Connor and I.

They are great. If you are in Houston and need a fabulous dentist, Longhorn Dental Associates by the Gallaria are great.

Love them. Love Love Love.

Wow. Someone raving -- in a GOOD way -- about a dentist! That is rare.

If I lived in Houston, I would surely check them out!

Good to know! Hopefully, they take whatever insurance I end up with. I have this serious dentist phobia.

hey.. have a job lead if you need.

is for a non-smoker, so you would basically have to lie and not smoke at work.

What's it for? Any lead is a lead!!!

Non-smoker? Can employers really discriminate against smokers? I didn't think that was legal...

I never really gave it much thought, but why should the rights of smokers not be protected? What about the pursuit of happiness? Smoking isn't illegal, so why should an employer base hiring you or not on if you smoke or not... I mean, an employer can't ask you about your medical history so why should they be able to ask you if you're a smoker... huh. I never really thought about all that before. Now you got me thinking... hum...

That's really a shame... I'm a great data entry person, and I do learn very fast... now I have to decide if I'd really have a problem with keeping the fact that I do smoke cigarettes (like a FIEND, I must tell you) from my employer.

because it can be seen as something that would interfere with productivity. Smokers may not be happy with just the 2 breaks they are given. It may be that smokers have more health problems (they are prone to more URI's .)

Also, some insurance carries charge more for coverage for smokers. When I worked at the bank, you had to declare whether or not you were a smoker because it cost more to get insurance for a smoker

I gotcha. But, isn't it the smokers choice what they decide to do on their breaks? Also, getting insurance is a benefit, and with most companies, you're not forced into taking it, it's just an option...

Just a disclaimer: I'm not trying to pick a fight with you. You just got me thinking about something no one has ever brought up to me before. Damn interweb and it's lack of vocal inflection. Just thought I'd say something before something got misunderstood.
