Sweet chocolate christ!
Apr. 29th, 2008 10:58 pmI am making my food for my bento box for tomorrow's lunch. A nice little carmelized tofu with brussel sprouts and green onions and I thought I would make some sushi rice for some onigiri.
I am following a recipe because I have never made onigiri and I am not a natural cook. I burned the rice (I am used to making jasmine rice. Not sticky rice) and then made the rice vinigar, sugar, and salt mixture and microwaved it for 45 seconds. Not only did it choke the hell out of me. My whole house smells like someone baked sour feet.
I am pretty sure I am just going to make some more sticky rice and just season it and slap some nori on it. I can't take the vinegar smell again.
