1) stupid request

2) ridiculous arrests.

There must have been a slow damn crime day when seven people are arrested for applauding and whooping at a high school commencement ceremony in South Carolina.

You have no idea just how po-dunk that area of South Carolina is. It's very conservative Christian and everyone walks on pins and needles. The stories I could share :)

I went to college at Winthrop University for my freshman/part-of-sophomore year which is the stadium they used according to the article. I went there because one of their reps came to Tomball High School my senior year and the guy was like 'and BTW there is a 13 to 1 female to male ratio at our college'

so i thought, jackpot! being a 17 year old male. I get there and I meet a seemingly nice girl about a month in, about 3 months in she pulls off her nice mask and puts on her super-mega-conservative-christian mask and i spend the next 10 months dodging her, until 3am random apartment stalkings from her grew too much and I moved back to Texas :)

That university had guards at every female dormatory ensuring no males entered, ever. There were no co-ed dorms. I got about 10 traffic tickets in the year I was there, most of the cops stating 'I DONT KNOW HOW YOU DO THINGS IN TEXASSSSSSSSSSS...' before writing me a ticket for 30 in a 25 or 41 in a 35, or 'you didnt come to a complete stop at that stop sign, your brake lights went off and your wheels were still moving' or 'your tint is too dark, you need to have it taken off in 7 days or we will send you to jail'

Yeah, bad memories. I actually got sent something in the mail about owing a '100$' court cost from one of my traffic violations from, get this, January 2001. over 7 years later and they are hassling me over $100 for a fee they dont even know what it's for. I asked the lady on the phone for paperwork and they said they dont mail paperwork and "YOU SHOULD HAVE A COPY" and that I am an 'absconder from the law' and 'will be picked up and put in jail if this is not paid' and that if I need a copy of the paperwork i need to 'come pick it up'

Hah, i'm never going back to THAT state, no matter how much fun I had regarding Myrtle Beach, stupid piercings and lots of alchohol and pot

I was the guy at high school commencement with no one cheering for me. So oddly this makes me laugh.

Yeah they tried this shit at my high school back in 1994. There was still cheering going on. They also told us not to throw our caps into the air or we wouldn't get our diplomas. Uh, fuck you very much! Our graduating class only had like 144 people in it so it's not like it was a very long event. Stupid indeed.
