We seem to be okay for now. I am not thrilled with some of the higher ups and the path they chose to take (especially since we know there were other options) but we are alright for now it seems. We just took on some more escrow officers so that is more files that will be opened.
Houston is one of the more recession proof cities according to the news (this ISN'T a recession?) and there are a lot of jobs in Houston that we cannot even get filled. I am hoping this will lead to another surge of people migrating down here and they will need houses. There are certainly a ton of foreclosure properties to purchase. Compared to the rest of the country, Houston is doing pretty well in the housing market.
There was a point yesterday when there were only 7 files to work between all of the examiners. I average 12-18 a day, myself. No bueno, but work did come in and we are chugging right along today.
So, the fretting has calmed down a little and I am feeling better.
