I finally got around to watching the Palin/ Couric interview. It was just as rough a watch as everyone had led me to believe. It is like watching a female George Bush.

The VP debate should be really interesting. If Biden can keep from making a fool out of himself with misstatements, he will wipe the floor with her.

I think it is just a bit sick that I am almost giddy with excitement at the prospect of watching that happen. I shouldn't want another human being to be humiliated, but she does seem like such a smug little witch, that I am looking forward to it.

What Biden needs to watch out for is overdoing it, making her look REALLY bad, and having a backlash of opinion against him for being a bully. I'm fairly confident he's going to be able to win the VP debate just by letting her flounder.

I suspect she will either fail in an epic way, or will be so ready by having a few weeks of 19 hour day training, that she will not flounder on a single talking point (which let's face it, they are ALL just big bags of talking points now) and be brilliant.

No middle of the road.

I am not feeling super confident. For facts and figures he can wipe the floor. But she is a pitbull and will go on the attack. Plus, she is famous for being a "great speaker" without actually saying anything. All she has to do is not come off retarded and millions will be swayed. The right wants ANY reason to like her.

I'm actually a little worried. I know she's an idiot. You know she is an idiot. EVERYONE SHOULD know she is grossly underqualified. But they've been putting her through boot camp and keeping her away from the press for a reason. The stakes are high but the bar is exceptionally low where she is concerned. All she has to do is have some things memorized. I like Biden. I think he's super intelligent. So I hope he thought ahead of time and makes her trip all over herself. That's how he'd win the debate.
