I love insurance on phones. I love my orange EnV

but I dropped it on cement a few too many times and the front screen went blank. It is a hearty phone. When I say I dropped it on cement a few too many times, I mean about 3 times a week for the past year. I filed a claim online with Asurian (the company that handles the insurance for Verizon wireless) and had my replacement phone the next business day. This is the second time I have had to do it. I gave Robert a phone to put in his pocket and his key cracked the front screen. The phone they sent me had a crackly mess for speakers. I called them this morning and told them about it. We went through trouble shooting, but nothing worked.
She had a system error and couldn't get in to get me a refurbished EnV, so she is sending me a brand new EnV2 (LG VX9100). The cool thing is that it will have a 1 year warranty. Not orange, though. Boo hoo.
Whatever. As long as the darn thing works.

Date: 2008-11-04 07:11 pm (UTC)I rarely TALK on the phone. I mostly text. This will have to do until I switch phones next year. There is no way I am paying full price for a phone.

Date: 2008-11-04 07:18 pm (UTC)I think for mostly texting you should be a-ok. She actually paid for that phone and was pissed when it was a POS for hearing purposes. It's a neat size and opens like a book. Aesthetically (sp?), it was a cute phone (hers was a maroonish color) but she just couldn't deal with people not hearing her.
