I abhor shopping, especially on Black Friday.

I am going to go volunteer at the Avalon House Book Fair. I don't really have much knowledge on Autism, but I am wholly made of gift wrapping awesomeness. If any of you want to volunteer, I am pasting her email to me with the information

Thank you for your interest in helping out at the Avondale House Bookfair!
Most of the information was included in the posting on volunteermatch, but I
will just say a little bit more so you know exactly what we do and what the
event is about. Please check out our website at www.avondalehouse.org for
information on our agency. In general, we are a nonprofit agency dedicated
to serving individuals with autism and their families. We have a preschool
program, TEA-accredited say school, day habilitation program, and
residential services, as well as a parent and family support group.
Materials that will be at the info booth cover all of this information, so
if someone asks a question you do not know the answer to, feel free to hand
them a brochure or a flyer and ask them to give us a call. Please let me
know if you have any questions or if there is anything I can do to help you.
Attached is a pdf file of our brochure. feel free to make copies and give it
to anyone you think may be out shopping in the Galleria area on the 28th or
29th.


Available time slots: (we mostly need help with gift-wrapping, but manning
the info. table may also be a possibility)

Friday: 11:00a-1:00p
       1:00-3:00p
       5:00-7:00p
       7:00-9:00p
       9:00-11:00p

Saturday: 1:00-3:00p
       3:00-5:00p
       5:00-7:00p
       7:00-9:00p
       9:00p-11:00p

We have the times broken up into 2-hour slots, but you are definitely more
than welcomed (and encouraged!) to sign up for more than one time slot.
