sereneorange: (Bush's last day)

Using this icon for the last time and glad for it.

I am hoping the new administration and our other branches can help fix everything that has harmed us over most of the last decade.

I am hoping the beautiful attitude of change and service will continue. The surge in people giving of their time, knowledge and money has been nice, but I hope everyone gets that a day or two of it isn't sufficient. I pray the desire to help other people improve their position in life keeps growing.

I hope the sheeple supporting Bush (few that they are) gain the understanding of why most of the rest of the country and world get what a useless and harmful "leader" he was. I am grateful he is gone.

I pray that Obama is successful in keeping his campaign promises to the best of his ability.

I imagine it would be hard as there were an awful lot of them, but he seems sincere. As long as the other branches are on the same page as he, we should be doing well.

He can start by providing details as to where the funding for his $150+ million dollar inauguration extravaganza is going to come from.

If this is any indication of his administration's frivolous spending, I don't see him keeping too many campaign promises.

has already been published. there is a list of individual and corporate donations made, when you subtract that amount and the cost of the extra security, it was $45m (Bush's was $42m)

I still think a disgusting amount goes toward all this, though
