Please, people in New York, walk by and tell this douchebag what you think of him.

I read the blog comments from the myfoxny.com site and apparently people think it is no big deal. I know he isn't breaking a law, and he can call the cookies anything he wants, but people can also feel free to call him whatever they want as well.

God Bless America, huh?

What the bloody hell? What an ass.

On an only somewhat related note, Fox News seems to be stuff it's collective mouth with Alka-Seltzer, judging by the amount of foam spewing forth. Its fucking horrible and amazing, and amazingly horrible the kind of crap they are vomiting out.

I thought it was bad during the election but now I see that it was just a warm-up.

Well that's a local Fox affiliate here in NY, and they aren't anything like the Fox "News" Network.

Sounds like a Greek name to me, though. Maybe a flease or a goatbanger cookie? I'm pretty sure a Homocrat cookie could get you shot.

I took these two comments as closest to the likely results:

this story will double his business

and

We live in the neighborhood. His mother is a nice woman. He is a weirdo.

From the comments, it seems this guy specializes in being tasteless and offensive -- "Dead Geese Bread" for geese that caused a plane crash? And the race battle is being fought right there in the comments.

It's an interesting dilemma.

I honestly see nothing wrong with the cookie. The word negro is a part of history. It is not a derogatory term. I think that the baker is a racist after hearing him talk, but I see no reason why they can't make a 'drunken negro' cookie. If it were an old black man that was the baker this would not have even made the news.

Why is Negro so offensive? There's an organization called "The United NEGRO College fund" that is still active and run by predominantly black individuals.

And this isn't me being racist, because i'm not, i'm just looking at this from the other point of view.

If I went up to any of my black friends and was like 'how are you today, my negro friend' they would probably LOL

I think everyone has taken everything to the extreme in regards to being PC and non-offensive.

If anyone stopped to look up the definition of negro or the history of the word they'd probably realize how silly it is to lump it in the same category as legitimate racial slurs

there's always THIS dictionary definition...

5. Negro

The word white people use when they're too afraid to say the word 'niger' or 'nigga'. Mainly old white people.

MARILYN DID YOU KNOW THE REAL RACISTS ARE THE ONES WHO SEE THAT DIFFERENT RACES GET TREATED DIFFERENTLY? let me guess the next move...the ones who claim to be tolerant are the most intolerant! you owe me a fucking GOOD cookie if i get the next spot on the fundie bingo card right...

I wouldn't be offended if someone made a goofy drunken faced cookie and called it a drunken-something-that-my-nationality-of-people-used-to-be-referred-to-as-in-a-non-derogatory-manner

I actually think it's a bit racist of people to have a problem with the cookie, it shows that THEY are not over the racial divide (the non-existent one that the media likes to exploit)

oh lol now we're on to 'i'm color blind, the REAL racists are the ones who can see racism.' you're like a fundie bingo card.

non-existent racial divide? lol okay. check your white privilege at the door, dear.

Maybe I don't see how I have any more opportunities / rights as any black person. Maybe that's because those that I grew up with, regardless of color, all went onto great things, because my PEERS were also in advanced placement classes in school and worked HARD and went on to do great things.

I'd like to think that the majority of people out there are like me, and do not really see someone's color but let their personality and intelligence determine their quality.

Perhaps I am living in a different universe than you, and others who see discrimination everywhere.

Everyone has the same chance.

yep, you are. it's called privilege. and now you not-so-subtly dig at those who weren't in AP and just didn't work hard enough. because there are never any obstacles that hold people back, even if they work hard.

actually, no, beyond privileged, i'm going with 'spoiled' and 'willfully blind.'

The two correlate. You can't be in an advanced placement class if you do not work hard. There are people of all colors that have had 'tough breaks' as it were. There are also peope of all walks of life that had these issues and have overcome them to go onto great things.

I was never spoiled, but I was never discouraged from trying to better myself.

I've had my share of crappy jobs, but I was the best possible employee I could be at those jobs, and worked my way up to where I am today. I don't think it has ANYTHING to do with the fact that i'm male, middle class and happen to be white. Plenty of my colleagues are not.

i also note that you seem to think your personal experience is universal, the only reality that can ever exist. that's rather childish.

consider some of this.

I cannot answer those questions as a black person, but I was able to answer them based on my experience in school, college, at my office and in day to day life while having a black person in mind, and I would say that the only one that I could not check would be

"I can choose blemish cover or bandages in “flesh” color and have them more or less match
my skin"

And that's only because I have never gone shopping for darker-skintone bandaids or makeup, but if there aren't bandaids for darker skinned people I should patent that and get it to market, it'd make some money for sure.

I don't know what it's like to be black, and I never will. I can only make assumptions based on my experiences in life and the people that surround me.

I'm sorry that you are so hateful. I hope you can be happy some day

omg you are hilarious. yes sweetie, i'm hateful because i am pointing out your extremely narrow point of view. i'm hateful because i value critical thinking and intellectual curiosity. for someone who brags about AP classes (big deal, me too, and?) you sure display an intellectual laziness, no desire to understand the world beyond your front yard.

"I can only make assumptions based on my experiences in life and the people that surround me. "

and that's why you're so ignorant. you make ASSUMPTIONS based on a tiny sample size. really, you can't pick up a newspaper? really? you're just so helpless that you can't possibly conceive of a way to learn about someone other than yourself and your immediate acquaintances?

There's no argument I can make that will take the absolute maniacal hatred that you have in your soul.

I feel sorry for you.

It's okay though, really, you are such a unique individual that is sooooo ultra tolerant that race doesn't consume your thoughts and days.

Oh wait, no you aren't, you're the same hate-monger zombie that really can't look into the mirror and just be happy.

Yes, sheep, read the newspapers and watch the media, let them make up your mind. Let them create your reality.

I have better things to do than argue on the internet and send links to people to try and validate my own thoughts and feelings. I am going to go live life now.

try actually knowing some people outside your bubble, spoiled brat. reality is the best teacher.

have fun not being on the internet, really you sound so extremely thrilled with life.
