I've got a Brand New Jones
Jun. 19th, 2004 04:32 pmAlright... when the next cat kicks the bucket and I have more money, I am getting a Singapura. These are the cutest damned things. Their faces look totally CGI. They are rare here, so would cost a pretty penny, and I have a tendancy to look down on buying cats from breeders and not just adopting homeless cats. But I want one! If I can not be too disgusted with myself, I will buy one. They are really tiny and frisky. They have thick necks. The females average about 4 lbs.

Date: 2004-06-21 07:19 am (UTC)The difference is that the Rex don't have the undercoat of fur and the pet dander associated with that. That is why they don't cause an allergic reaction to people with inhalation allergies.
However, they DO still shed and their coats CAN cause allergic reactions. Also, if the person is allergic to saliva, they're screwed because cats all have that.
I know this because I own 2 Cornish Rex. My beautiful babies!!
