Alright... when the next cat kicks the bucket and I have more money, I am getting a Singapura. These are the cutest damned things. Their faces look totally CGI. They are rare here, so would cost a pretty penny, and I have a tendancy to look down on buying cats from breeders and not just adopting homeless cats. But I want one! If I can not be too disgusted with myself, I will buy one. They are really tiny and frisky. They have thick necks. The females average about 4 lbs.

Those look a little bit like Devon Rexes. My friend Tom told me about Devon Rexes because he used to have one...What's special about them is that they have hypoallergenic coats, e.g., people who are normally allergic to cats have no problems around Devons. Tom's dad was severely allergic to cats, but he had no reaction to their Devon and it turned out to be a beloved pet for them. The breed was of special interest to me since I too am highly allergic to cats. I told Rachael about them as a possible compromise between her love of cats and my inability to live with them, if she and I ever ended up living together. They're weird-looking little creatures, that's for sure...Kinda skinnier and with bigger eyes than the ones in your pictures, but otherwise very similar.

yeah.. these are very small. with thick necks. The ideal one's legs, torso and floor should form a square. Standing, they look a bit like a bobcat.

Devons and other Rex are not hypoallergenic. They DO cause allergic reactions.

The difference is that the Rex don't have the undercoat of fur and the pet dander associated with that. That is why they don't cause an allergic reaction to people with inhalation allergies.

However, they DO still shed and their coats CAN cause allergic reactions. Also, if the person is allergic to saliva, they're screwed because cats all have that.

I know this because I own 2 Cornish Rex. My beautiful babies!!

My son discovered them at a cat show he went to last month.. he saw this breed of cat and flipped.. told the owner "that is the most precious thing I have ever seen." and kept having to pull his hands back because they kept shooting forward he wanted to pick it up so bad
