concise

1
: marked by brevity of expression or statement : free from
all elaboration and superfluous detail
2 : cut short
: BRIEF
- con·cise·ly adverb
- con·cise·ness noun

Everyone calling in today needs
a lesson in being concise. People are just rambling on and on. I ask for
their name and I get their name, thier address, their account number, the
other people on the account. It has not been unusual to have all this info
given from one person after just that one question. Then they spend the
rest of the call in a hurry and speaking over me. Perhaps if they shut the
heck up and let me speak, we could get this all over with a lot more
quickly.

Still hating people today.

If I had your job I'd be a misanthrope too (at least some of the time).

I am not always, but I am really tired and yesterday I was here 12 hours and got cussed out several times. My customer service sucked. I couldn't muster not speaking through my teeth at people half the time let alone give service with a smile. Unfortunately, I let about 11 customers dictate my experience with about 165 others

Do you see yourself doing this for the rest of your working life, or is this temporary? What would your ideal job be?

I hope it is temporary. What would you rather be doing and what do you have to do to make that happen?

Honestly? Singing or playing music. No desire to be a star would be happy in a club or studio.

Other than that, I would like to do Cprint interpreting for the Deaf, or accounting

I'd love to hear your singing. Do you find opportunities to sing evenings and/or weekends? Do you know any musicians who would enjoy working with a female vocalist? We have a friend who in addition to being an actor, playwright, and tour guide, also interprets for the deaf (he needs all those gigs to pay his bills). Do you have the credentials for accounting? I know a CPA/poet who works 18 hour days during tax season and writes poetry the rest of the year.

used to sing for a studio in Houston. Sing every now and then in a live music club, but just when a bunch of various musicians get together and jam. I have a child and bills, so need to have something very consistant

When I clicked on the links I got a Tripod message that the files are not available for download. Glad to hear you're in school; in fact I'm impressed that you can manage that and a job and a kid. I'm sure your perseverance will be rewarded.

God, don't you just LOVE customer service? lol

I think that, instead of a draft, they should mandate that every person work for at least two years in a customer service business so they will find out what it is like to get bitched out on a regular basis.

I'd love to see Paris Hilton work in a Wal-Mart for two years. They'd eat her alive! lol

I've waited tables and driven a cab as well as lots of other lousy jobs. It's made me a good tipper.

that'd work too! My mom did that well before I was born, and she told me enough horror stories about that to make me be very nice to any server for the rest of my life! lol
