Pickle Phobia

Phobia's are not funny, but if they were, a pickle phobia would be the funniest. This poor girl is terrified of them. Maury's staff is all but throwing them at her to get her to confront her fear.
I wonder if they consulted a psychologist first?

I think she's a really good actress...she should star in a pickle horror movie. JMO...but I don't think she's seriously phobic about pickles. Who knows though? Just from reading the looks on her face, I can't take her seriously.

I dunno. Some phobias are insane. I would laugh about the ridiculousness of my arachniphobia, but it is a definite phobia. I couldn't SAY spider without getting teary and having a hard time breathing from age 8 - 15. I am getting better, but they seriously scare the living crap out of me. I keep trying to confront it.

Spiders are different really, they CAN be dangerous, they're weird and scary looking, and they jump out at you sometimes. But a PEACH or a COTTON BALL doesn't have teeth or claws or venom and they don't crawl in your bed to bite you on the ass in the middle of the night.

I would never try to scare you with a spider. A cotton ball? I'd chase you all over Houston just to laugh...lol

At first I thought she was bullshitting too.
Then I got to thinking - maybe she has repressed subconsious memories of some kind of sexual assault and fears pickles because she sees a phallic symbol in them and that's where her freaking out comes from.

If that's the case then she needs lots of psychotherapy and NOT to be on a stupid sensational TV show.

I saw this a very long time ago. I can't imagine being afraid of pickles myself. I love them. I can eat a whole jar at once.

In fact, I just closed a tab in my browser here on homemade pickles. I'm thinking of making my own.

I am afraid of heights. I can't stand them and get vertigo every time I'm up waaaaay high. x_x But that's a common fear, like fear of spiders, too. But see, fear of heights isn't an unnatural fear. It's a logical one. You can DIE if you fall. So yeah...fear of DYING a horrible splattery death would be it.
