You know what is just precious?

When you are in a group of people that are all your color and one of them says something kind of bitgoted assuming that you will be cool with it because you are the same color/ other group as they are.

This is usually done by someone that doesn't know me very well. They wouldn't have said it if they knew my kid was mixed, I heart the gay community, I have Arabic friends, I have a Jewish father, etc.

Sometimes I say something to let them know I think what they said is very not cool. Lately, I enjoy a new game. I like to let them say something a few times, then bring it up. I want them to recall the things they said before and feel like even more of a dick. I want them to have done it a few times, so they cannot try to just paint there most recent comment like it was taken wrong or came out wrong. Hard to prove you aren't a bigot when you have said bigoted things 4-5 times.

Most recently, I have had a reason to wait a week or two, then bring a photo of Connor and put it on my desk and proudly point out my handsome son. I just want to wait a few more comments weeks.
