With Rooster sauce!

I made delicious chocolate peanut butter cookies. Yay! Success

I then pressed, dry fried, and baked tofu before putting it in a marinade of onions, garlic, rice vinegar, siriachi, brown sugar and soy sauce.

It turned out pretty and it smelled heavenly.

I could have used SO much less sirachi. OMG. While the texture is perfect, Every bite sets my head on fire.

I fear I have done some damage and will not be able to taste the delicious food tomorrow. This is packing some serious heat.

On the upside, my sinuses are clear.

Sigh. I feel like all my hard work was wasted. Maybe I will rinse off the sauce and add some rice tomorrow.  *sigh* Still learning to cook. I did learn today. I learned what works (to get the texture right) and that a little sirachi goes a long way.

Oooh hot stuff! I am the weenie in our family when it comes to hot stuff. Even after living in Texas. We always have to get at least one mild dish when we go to the Indian restaurant en famile.

omfg... fire covered tofu.

I ended up rinsing it off and eating it. It has still absorbed enough flavor to be tasty and burn me, but I retained use of my mouth.

hahaha fire covered tofu.

I guess it's like the corn at crawfish boils. If you leave those things in too long, they turn into edible mini napalm bombs.

I'm always surprised how many people don't know to press the tofu. That looks wonderful, btw.
